Biography
The world through my eyes is an art in the form of photography, a lifelong devotion… my way of expressing how much I see and feel the world. The start of my voyage was more than 42 years ago, I learned photography on my own. During the span of my career, I have been to over 30 different countries photographing nature, animals, and people’s stories that not only fascinate me but also show the beauty of the universe and the life cycle.
I have, other than the camera, been an aquarist with zeal. In the year 2000 I opened a fish aquarium shop in Karachi, Pakistan, which I have been managing ever since and where I have grown a strong love for aquatic life. I was able to enhance my relationship with nature through my experience as an aquarist, for instance, I found the qualities of calmness, patience, and the bright beauty of life under the water’s surface.
Photography and aquaristics have been in perfect harmony, the two halves of a whole: a creative deeply inspired by nature’s diversity.
My lens is my medium where I tell the stories of the very brief moments I want to immortalize — the very subtle light, the force of movement, and the feeling within the closest silence. To me, photography is the art of not only seeing but also realizing the world — and then giving that feeling of awe away to other people.
